Every community event can be an opportunity to pass on a green legacy. When people see containers filling up with clean recyclables, they take away the message “This event is green and we are doing the right thing”

Recycling passes on a healthier environment. Recycling conserves energy, mineral resources, and fresh water, while reducing our carbon footprint. Substituting recycled content in place of virgin material usually reduces manufacturing costs.

Successful out-of-home recycling also reinforces the message taught in school about residential recycling programs.
